Who we are

Washington Presbytery is a network of 43 Presbyterian churches in Pennsylvania’s southwestern corner, encompassing Washington and Greene counties. Congregations offer Christian worship in traditional and contemporary worship styles, engage in local and regional ministries, support and venture out into national and international missions, and seek to embody the truth of Jesus Christ in all that they do.

Mission Statement:

What we believe

We adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A), which are encapsulated in the Book of Order and the Book of Confessions. These foundational documents provide a framework for our governance, worship, and theological beliefs.

The Book of Order outlines the structure of church life, including the roles and responsibilities of the governing bodies, while the Book of Confessions offers a collection of creeds and confessions that articulate our faith and understanding of God’s revelation.

We commit ourselves to these principles, ensuring that our practices align with the teachings of our tradition and uphold the integrity of the church's mission in the world. Our fidelity to these resources fosters unity and accountability among congregations, guiding our collective journey in faith and service.
