Congregation Resources

  • Cantate Usquam means “sing anywhere.” The Cantate Usquam Pilgrim Singers aim to bring music to churches lacking choirs or resources for regular services.

    • are volunteers who want to sing with you and share the joy that music brings to worship

    • are led by musicians who have experience leading congregations and choirs in singing

    • are ecumenical and eager to work with you to sing hymns and music from your tradition

    • will sing choir pieces for a prelude, offertory, or communion

    • love to sing a capella but can also use available instruments 

    • are available for dates beginning in January 2025 (excluding Holy Week or Easter)

    • wear no robes and sing from within your congregation, not up front

  • Sign up for our weekly e-news or send us your church events and announcements to be included in the next edition.

  • We urge our churches to take part in the four annual Special Offerings: One Great Hour of Sharing, Pentecost, Mission and Global Witness, and Christmas Joy. Your church's contributions can be sent to the presbytery office, which will then be remitted to the correct PCUSA offering. Please make your check payable to Washington Presbytery, and indicate the specific offering in the check memo.

    *Per Capita invoices are sent to churches every November, based on the membership numbers from the previous year, as reported to PCUSA by each church's stated clerk.

  • 2026 Church Report Form

    Please send your church's information for the calendar year as soon as possible after January 1 to help us update our directory. This form also includes names of those who passed away during the previous year so we can honor their memory during a special memorial service at our May presbytery meeting.

  • Session Minute Books are reviewed annually, and Church Roll Books are reviewed every other year.

  • Report Form
    Council and Committee Chairs, please submit your report form at least three days prior to each Council meeting to aid in the planning of Presbytery dockets and packets.

  • The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania now requires that each corporation including not for profit corporations, file an annual report via its corporations’ portal: Business Services | An Official Pennsylvania Government Website. The corporation must have an account to complete the registration. If possible, use a church email address instead of an individual’s personal email address to create an account. The deadline for filing is June 30th each year and failure to file in a timely manner may result in the loss of a congregation’s corporate status including the right to use its name.

  • Churches utilizing Pulpit Supply on a regular basis are required to submit a report at the end of each quarter for review by our Committee on Ministry. Forms may be sent to office@washpres.org.
