Essential responsibilities include working with the Pastor to program musical selections appropriate to the traditional Christian liturgical year, conducting the senior choir and the children’s choir, working with additional ensembles (instrumental, bell, vocal, etc.) based on interest and resource availability, budget preparation and management, purchasing of music and other supplies as needed, and arranging for maintenance of musical instruments including piano tunings and organ maintenance.

Required skills include the ability to work effectively with the Pastor, the Church organist, Church staff members, and the Worship and Music Committee, as well as the ability to encourage congregational members to participate in the music programs. A successful applicant will also have strong oral and written communication abilities, and high-level organizational skills.
